Yet we should remember that we are what we eat, and that caring for ourselves begins with the food we choose and the time we take to enjoy it.

THE STORY OF VOEUX

The story of the Voeux brand begins in the town of La Baule, located four hours from Paris, where Julien Martin was born and raised. Julien eagerly awaited the arrival of summer, not only for the dreamlike atmosphere of the town but also for the delicious meals prepared by his grandmother, Jeannette. His interest in gastronomy began during those childhood summers spent in her kitchen. Whenever Julien asked about the secret behind these remarkable flavors, his grandmother would simply smile and say it was a secret she would share when the time was right.

As the years passed, Julien grew up and eventually returned to the farmhouse in La Baule with his future wife to introduce her to Jeannette and her unforgettable cooking. Once again, Jeannette worked her magic in the kitchen, delighting the young couple with her dishes. After the meal, she approached them holding a black cast iron pot.

Placing it in their hands, she revealed the secret she had guarded for so long:
“The secret to my meals is this pot. Now you can cook flavorful dishes together in your new life.”

Wherever life took them afterward, Julien Martin and his wife carried that cast iron pot with them, making it a constant presence in their kitchen. Inspired by these memories and the joy of shared meals, Julien Martin set out to share these versatile and flavorful cooking tools with food enthusiasts everywhere.

Together with Bertan Beyazıt Battal and Erçin Aras, who shared his passion for gastronomy and elegant dining experiences, he established a new brand. They named it Voeux, meaning “wish” and “desire,” inspired by the memorable meals and joyful moments shared around the table. In a short time, Voeux began producing cookware crafted from pure iron, alongside carefully crafted copper pieces and grills designed to bring the rich flavors of fire cooking into the kitchen.
